MySQL Database Updates (Resolved)

    Users of our website hosting services will experience loss of MySQL database services and some control panel functions while the MySQL service is upgraded from version 10.0 to 10.2. The work will be done between 06:00hrs and 09:00hrs in the morning, during which time your websites will have intermittent access to MySQL and may display errors as a result.

    If you wish to avoid this we recommend you place your websites in maintenance mode until the work is completed. We will be able to assist you with this if you have a subscription to our Managed Website Hosting & Support package.

    We are currently investigating issues regarding e-mail's being marked as SPAM by Spamhaus. The following error message is an example of one which you may recieve if an e-mail has been blocked:
    SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection: 550-Your IP address is on the SBL blacklist! Sending denied.

    We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and we are currently workign with SpamHaus to resolve the issue, please bear with us - shouldn't be too much longer all being well.

    We are currently waiting for a response from SpamHaus. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

    The SBL listing has now been removed and the server should no longer be blocked for the same reason. This issue is now resolved. Due to the nature of a being on a server with multiple users, sometimes spam filtering companies will blacklist us if one of the websites on our server has been compromised or if there is an unusual peak of e-mails being sent from our server until we can show that we do not allow such behaviour and take preventative action. In this case, we was able to resolve the issue with SpamHaus but this process can take a few days due to the size and nature of their business. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
